  • Tokyo, Asakusa - Le Sanja Matsuri est l'un des trois grands festivals de Tokyo, considéré comme le plus important. Le samedi, environ une centaine de mikoshi, sancturaires shinto portables, des divers sanctuaires des 44 quartiers d'Asakusa sont portés par leur membres jusqu'au célébre Senso-ji (sancturaire Kannon) pour être benni et purifié par un pretre shintoiste. Le dimanche, tous les membres se retrouvent dans ce même sanctuaire pour pourter les trois grands mikoshi du Senso-ji à travers les rue d'Asakusa. Ils traversent la porte Kaminarimon (le portail du Tonnere) et rejoignent les 44 quartiers d'Asakusa. [EN] The sanja matsuri is one of the greatest festival in Tokyo. Held on the third week end of june, in Asakusa Shrine known as Senso-ji. On saturday, about One hundred (100) mikoshi (portable sancturaies) from the different sanctuaries of 44 Asakusa 's district, gather at the Kaminarimon gate to enter in the Senso-ji to be purified and blessed by a Shinto priest. On sunday, The three great mikoshi are carried by the population true kaminarimon gate, to the shrine of the 44 districts of Asakusa. That three mikoshi represent the three men who create the Senso-ji.

  • JAPAN, NIKKO - August 2012 - The engravings of the three Wise Monkeys in Shinkyu-sha of  the Toshogu Shrine. It is where the famous Shogun of the Edo Period in the 17th century, Tokugawa Ieyasu, was worshiped after his death. It became as luxurious and elaborate as it looks today when the grandson of Ieyasu, the third Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu, reconstructed it. The engravings on the Yomei-mon Gate are especially overwhelming, provided with every luxury imaginable and redolent in gorgeous colors. site calssified as Japanese Cultural property and world heritage by UNESCO [FR] sculpture des Trois singes de la sagesse (« Je n'entends pas ce qu'il ne faut pas entendre, je ne dis pas ce qu'il ne faut pas dire, je ne vois pas ce qu'il ne faut pas voir ») Sanctuaire Toshogu - Construit en 1636 à la mémoire de Ieyasu, fondateur du shogunat Tokugawa. Le maître de cérémonie prépare le thé face aux invités. Ces gestes sont lents et méticuleux. Le macha, thé traditionnel est une poudre verte qui se mélange à l'eau avec énergie avec un outil en bambou en forme de fouet. La cérémonie Ryū-rei 立礼 se prépare et se boit assis.

The contrast of the deep nature of this forest ajoined to the area of Harajuku well known for the teenager's fashion activity as the Lolitas, is represented by a contrast of colors between the deep blue green and the Pink. Discovering the envoironnement, Emi makes the relation beetwen that two elements : the nature of the forest  and the kitch of Harajuku.

As many as 500 brightly-colored carvings fill the front of the gate in colors such as white, black, gold, navy, green, blue, and vermilion. The finest decorative skills available in Japan at the time were used on the gate. Toshogu Shrine is where the famous Shogun of the Edo Period in the 17th century, Tokugawa Ieyasu, was worshiped after his death. It became as luxurious and elaborate as it looks today when the grandson of Ieyasu, the third Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu, reconstructed it.
