The Horseback Archery-Yabusame -Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu
KAMAKURA, JAPAN, 16 SEPTEMBER - The Horseback Archery -Yabusame, a mounted traditional Japanese archery - is an automn festival of in Tsurugaoka Hachimangu-. In april and september, it is performed along the main approach to the shrine. An archer, wearing traditional 13th Century clothing, on a running horse shoots three arrows successively at three wooden targets. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu the most important temple of Kamakura was founded 1063 and inlarge by Minato Yorimoto, the first Shogun of Kamakura period - september 2012
